Webhooks2.me exposes a public HTTP API — no API key required for the core flow. POST /api/webhooks creates a new webhook endpoint and returns its URL; any HTTP request sent to that URL (/webhook/{uuid} or the short form /u/{shortId}) is captured instantly and streamed to connected clients over WebSocket.

The full API surface is documented as an OpenAPI 3 specification at /openapi.json — import it into Postman, Insomnia, or any LLM tool-calling / function-calling setup. Endpoint reference and usage examples also live in the Documentation.

For local development, install the official CLI — npm install -g @soublox/wh2me — to forward webhooks from your public URL straight to a service running on localhost, without exposing your machine directly. Run wh2me --help after installing to see usage. When to use it: any time you are integrating a third-party webhook (Stripe, GitHub, Twilio, etc.) and need to see or forward the exact payload before or during local development.
